Maxi-Fen-20 is an antitumor drug that has anti-estrogenic effects. It is able to competitively bind to estrogen receptors in target organs, and also prevents them from interacting with the endogenous ligand – 17-beta – estradiol. This causes inhibition of tumor development, which is stimulated by estrogen. Tamoxifen does not possess androgenic activity.
